Why Change?

This piece is reflective of the tension and uncertainty that change brings. There are four layers of sayings in pencil that read: I have to change right now, this is good for me, I am me right now, I should never change. This written contrast that forms into a cohesive gradient is representative of the process of change. The tense nature of this process is also reflected in the slanted, angular composition, the chaotic background, the struggling. act of the subject, and the large words on her back that reflect the confusion and helplessness of becoming.
